I'm getting antsy! Just received an email saying the samples for the new colors of the satchel will be here today, a week earlier than expected. Something happening earlier than planned, I just can't believe it. I was able to bump the photo shoot up to the 26th...which means you'll get to see the new colors and place your pre-order next Wednesday.
I LOVE photo shoot days. I don't actually do much other than smooth, tweak, mush, flip, rotate, shine and move things one eighth of an inch. Last time my legs ached the following day from going up and down so many times. Oh, my other job is to sometimes hold an umbrella or the reflector thing to add light to the shot. I am awful at handling the reflector and getting the light in the right spot. I like seeing the photographer do his thing. It always amazes how he'll be at such weird angles, laying on the ground, up a ladder, and the pictures come out perfect.
On the to do list for tomorrow: shopping for the model's wardrobe. There's a rough job. Although, lately, I have to admit shopping hasn't been so great. I'm not really into the 80's style going on right now. While I was just a little girl in the 80's, the fact that I remember the fashion and did myself wear leggings under denim skirts, makes me feel a bit old. There are some much better decades to draw inspiration from, when do we get to cycle back to those?
On the topic of design, my sweater for winter Knitty is moving along so fast, even without late night knitting. I have made a new rule for myself though. No knitting while watching Project Runway. It only took me about the entire season of the show to determine that I make more mistakes than progress made when watching PR and knitting at the same time.
And finally, last year my pattern for the felted pumpkins came out in I think late October. I read several comments saying that wasn't enough time to get them knitted for their fall decor. So, I'm reminding you to get started now on your pumpkins!

Please do add my photo of Julie to your album! I plan on making another one soon in shades of gray. And then I bought some smaller beads to try with as well. I really did enjoy knitting the necklace (obviously)! I don't know if you've seen it already but there was another finished version on Craftster.
