My most recent discovery, which has probably been around awhile, but it's new to me, is Google's image program, Picasa. My sister needed a program for running a slideshow for her open house so I found this for her. She ended up not being able to use it since her school computer is a Mac, but now I have a great program for my images. It goes through your entire computer, searches for all the pictures and gathers them as thumbnails. I had no idea I had so much junk on my computer. Time to do some deleting.
You can also import straight from your camera, to Picasa to Blogger. So easy. You can crop, color, and rotate as needed, create slideshows and burn CDs (no, I don't own stock in Google). The pic below is straight from Picasa.
Which brings me to my question. Any ideas for this yarn? It's Banana Silk Yarn. I only have two skeins. I bought it at the Knit and Crochet Show last year. I usually only buy yarn if I have a pattern in mind, but it was such a good price I couldn't resist. I've searched around for a pattern with no luck of inspiration. I could design something, but sometimes I just want to blindly follow a pattern without having to think. This is the type of mood I'm in. Plus, I'll be working on it on my way down to Santa Barbara and designing/calculating in a car just isn't a good idea for me.
