New Pattern!

This is the jacket I mentioned back in May. It's now available from Stitch Diva Studios.
Now I can tell you about it. The stitch pattern is like a spider's web, or wheel spokes; the top has 1x1 ribbing, then it slowly expands to 1x3 ribbing by the time you reach the hem. The shaping is done throughout the stitch pattern rather than at the sides. I love the effect it creates.
The jacket is worked from the top down. This was the first garment I've made from the top down and I'm never going back. As a designer I think it is much easier to grade the garment (make multiple sizes) when it's written top down. And, as a knitter it is nicer to knit. You can try it on as you go so you know it's going to fit.
There are two options for sleeves; 3/4-length and really cute puffy sleeves. Plus, there's hardly any seaming, which I know will make knitters happy.
You can see the short sleeve version, yarn requirements, sizes (7 of them!) and purchase the pattern here. If you make it, don't forget to send me a photo or add it to my flickr group, 'cause you know that's my favorite part about designing.
Also, I just created a portfolio page on my website so if you like my knitwear designs, you can find more here.

Very pretty! I like the 3/4 sleeve personally for me, but the puffy short sleeves are adorable!

I wanted to add my admiration to this very cute design....love it....I also love the top down-try on as you go method.....makes so much sense!
