My Gran works in an antiques shop. Last week a woman brought in a Madame Alexander doll from her childhood, complete with wardrobe. Her mother had made some of the dresses including this one. It was knit on toothpicks! The buttons are tiny beads and the skirt has a perfectly spaced increasing to create the flare. Oh the patience she must have had. It makes my fingers cramp.

Oh my! made with toothpicks?!! I can't imaninge knitting with size 2 needles! Great patience and skill!
What a fabulous piece to own! I get weird looks when I knit in public at all, so I'm thinking knitting with toothpicks would draw a crowd, probably with butterfly nets and straight-jackets.
Hi Jordana, I just made myself a Starsky. Thanks for a very fun sweater to knit! There is a picture on my blog if you´d like to se it. Greetings from Sweden.
