Silk Scarves...oooo la la!
You know those women who are just simply classy? It's not something particular that they do or say. They're just born classy, with a certain poise. I've always wished I was one of those women, but no such luck. I'll have to make do with emulating them by copying their accessories.
While in Lake Tahoe a couple weeks ago I met one of these classy ladies, Jill Gully. She was wearing the most beautiful hand-felted silk scarf. I soon learned that she is the owner of Outback Fibers. Don't you just love when you unexpectedly meet someone in the fiber world? The silk fibers and wool backing are wetted and felted together in an intricate blend of colors. Gorgeous!
Must. make. scarf.
I didn't do a very good job of getting photos that show the full beauty of the scarf, so take a look at some of Jill's finished work.
