I'm finally starting to get control of my to do list. But really I know it's just the calm before the storm. I've been preparing for a showing of my newest products for yarn shops, press, reps, etc (if this is you, send me an email and I'll give you all the info to attend) in San Diego on the 22nd. The invitations, phone calls and emails have all gone out. Yesterday my new catalogs came. I'm always so nervous with printing things. I don't ever see a physical proof, just an online pdf. I worry the color will come out all wrong, the cropping too big and some kind of typo. I was relieved when I opened the box to see the catalogs are perfect. I assembled them all last night.
Last night I finished the back of the Karabella sweater. But other than that, not much knitting has been happening lately. I've been working on reparing a quilt instead of knitting. My cousin found a scrap quilt, all hand-stitched, in my grandmother's house. No one recognized it. We don't know if she made it or if someone else did. My cousin really liked the quilt but it's falling apart. It has a lot of holes and many of the fabrics need to be completely replaced. It's a huge blanket; I can't imagine the hours that went into actually making it. When it's done I know it will be beautiful again!

A Victorian Crazy quilt - how wonderful! I'm glad you're fixing it.
I repaired a Double Wedding Ring quilt ages ago. Not an historically-accurate repair, but the quilt was in shambles, and nearly worthless in the marketplace, so at least now I get to look at it, draped over the end of the bed or hanging over my quilt rack.
